There is something truly magical about spring weddings, where the world awakens with vibrant colors and fresh blooms. Ryan and Tyler Bass's wedding was a perfect example of this magic, held on a beautiful spring day in the heart of the Ocala Historic District. Their timeless and elegant celebration was a testament to love, family, and tradition, set against the charming backdrop of a historic brick home adorned with blooming azaleas.
The Venue: A stunning brick estate for this Ocala Historic District Wedding
The wedding took place on private property, an exquisite brick home nestled in the Ocala Historic District. This beautiful venue, with its classic architecture and lush gardens, provided the perfect setting for Ryan and Tyler's garden wedding. The historic charm of the property added a sense of timelessness to the celebration, making it a day to remember for all who attended.
Getting Ready: A Family Tradition
Ryan chose to get ready at her grandmother's home, also located in the historic district. I had the pleasure of also photographing Ryan's older sister's wedding, who got married in this home, so carrying on that tradition was so sweet. Ryan was surrounded by family heirlooms and the intimate setting added a personal touch to the day. The home, filled with the warmth and love of Ryan's family and closest friends, was the perfect place for Ryan to prepare for such a special day in her life.
Getting Ready: The Groom's Preparations
While Ryan prepared for the big day at her grandmother's historic home, Tyler was just a short distance away, getting ready in a nearby home surrounded by his closest friends. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as Tyler and his groomsmen shared stories, laughs, and well-wishes. Adding a special touch to his preparation, Tyler had his personal barber from Andrews Barber Parlor of NY attend to give him a fresh wedding day haircut, ensuring he looked his absolute best for his beautiful bride. This thoughtful detail highlighted the personal connections and cherished traditions that made their wedding so uniquely special.
The Ceremony: A Garden Wonderland
The ceremony took place in the front yard of the brick home, adorned with azaleas and elegant decor. Ryan and Tyler were surrounded by beautiful floral arrangements provided by Graceful Gardener of Ocala. Guests were welcomed into the ceremony space with a beautiful champagne station. Ryan was escorted down the aisle by her brother and carried a classic bouquet of white tulips with a locket attached with a photo to honor her late father. Surrounded by family and friends, Ryan and Tyler exchanged vows in a setting that felt like a fairytale.
Portraits and Cocktail Hour
Following the ceremony, Ryan and Tyler took a few moments for portraits as a newly married couple. Meanwhile, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, mingling under the warm spring sun and canopy off oak trees. The ambiance was lively yet elegant, with soft music playing and the gentle clinking of glasses. When planning with Ryan prior to their wedding day she communicated that a candid documentation of the day was so important to her. She really valued the people surrounding them on their wedding day and wanted less time spent on posed portraits, and more time spent on truly enjoying their wedding day with their loved ones, and we loved doing exactly that for her!
First Dance
Ryan and Tyler shared their first dance as a married couple on a stunning black and white checker dance floor. Surrounded by their loving family and friends, the moment felt like a scene out of a classic movie.
The Celebration
After the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration continued with a reception that was both classic and elegant. Guests enjoyed delicious food, heartfelt toasts, and lively music under the open sky. The garden was transformed into a wonderland of twinkling lights and beautifully set tables, creating a perfect blend of sophistication and southern charm.

The love and joy shared by the couple, their families, and friends made this day truly special.
