In 2025 I photographed weddings across Florida that ranged from luxury ballrooms to coastal escapes and intimate garden settings. These five venues stood out not only for how beautiful they are but for how well they photograph and how they feel on a wedding day.
If you’re planning your wedding and wondering which venues truly shine in photos, these are my top five favorite wedding venues I photographed in 2025.
World Equestrian Center – Ocala, Florida
The World Equestrian Center is unmatched in terms of grandeur and variety. It offers elegant ballrooms, white marble, elegant resort amenities, dramatic architecture, and perfectly manicured grounds all in one location. From a photography perspective, it’s a dream because there are endless backdrops without ever needing to leave the property.

The indoor spaces are bright, clean and neutral which means true to color images and timeless edits. Outdoors the scale of the property allows for epic portraits while still feeling refined. It’s ideal for couples who want a luxury wedding experience with flexibility for weather and timeline, all while offering a full resort style experience for guests who wish to stay on property.

One of my favorite ceremony locations is the gorgeous chapel on property. The sun conveniently drops right behind the chapel making it easy to get those sun-drenched portraits following your ceremony.

Le Méridien Tampa, The Courthouse – Tampa, Florida
Le Méridien Tampa is one of the most unique wedding venues in Florida. A historic courthouse turned boutique hotel that blends old world character with a modern editorial feel. The architecture alone carries the photos from the grand staircases to the tall columns and moody interior spaces.

This venue is perfect for couples who love a fashion-forward look or want something that feels different from a traditional ballroom. The lighting inside creates dramatic cinematic images while still maintaining an elevated romantic tone.

Appleton Museum of Art – Ocala, Florida

The Appleton Museum is an underrated gem for couples who want something artistic, intimate and refined. The outdoor grounds are lush and peaceful with clean lines, fountains and greenery that photograph beautifully year round.

What makes this venue special is how calm and intentional it feels. I particularly love the courtyard spaces for guests to roam. And late night portraits in the museum make for such a moody option.

Dream Bay Resort – Key West, FloridaDream Bay Resort

Dream Bay Resort is everything a Key West wedding should be colorful, relaxed and full of personality. This venue is ideal for destination weddings that feel like a weekend long celebration rather than a single event.

From waterfront portraits to palm trees and sunset skies the scenery does a lot of the heavy lifting. The laid back atmosphere makes couples feel at ease which translates into natural joyful images. It’s especially perfect for smaller guest counts and couples who want an intimate experience driven wedding.

Protea Wedding and Event Venue – Ocala, Florida

Protea is one of those venues that feels thoughtfully designed for photography. It’s a modern take on southern charm and the large white barn and raw wood beams are a fantastic black canvas for any decor scheme. The outdoor spaces flow seamlessly into the indoor areas making timelines feel easy and relaxed.

This venue works especially well for couples who want a clean romantic aesthetic with a slightly southern if not rustic edge. It is thoughtfully laid out for well functioning weddings.

Choosing a Venue That Photographs Beautifully
When couples ask me for venue advice I always tell them this: the best wedding photos come from spaces that feel like you. Light, flow and atmosphere matter just as much as how a venue looks online.
Each of these venues offers something different but they all share one thing in common. They allow couples to be present, comfortable and fully themselves on their wedding day. That’s when the most meaningful images happen.
If you’re planning a wedding in Ocala, Tampa or Key West and want photography that captures how your day actually feels I’d love to connect.
